One of Control Z’s main intentions is to subsist on producing fiction. With that aim, for the past few years we have been supplying production services to either local or foreign producers.

Synopsis

Stefan, the Polish Ambassador to Uruguay, is devastated by the sudden loss of his beloved wife. While visiting his home country to attend his wife’s funeral, he meets with Oleg, the Russian vice-minister of Foreign Affairs. They have been friends for over 20 years, since Stefan still was a political activist and Oleg a young Russian diplomat in Poland. This long lasting friendship is now burdened with two suspicions – On the one hand Stefan thinks that Oleg could have been sent by his embassy to infiltrate the Polish political underground opposition. On the other hand, Stefan suspects that his now-deceased wife could have cheated on him with his charming Russian friend.

Unicef
Between 2004 and 2005 Control Z produced five shortfilms for “Tools for adolescent participation”, a project by UNICEF. By means of this project UNICEF aims at the development of adolescent involvement and participation in their homes, schools and communities. These shortfilms work as a trigger to catch adolescents’ attention and to foster further discussion and self-expression on topics they might be interested in. Each shortfilm depicts everyday situations where adolescents could easily mirror themselves, while dealing with specific issues suggested by UNICEF.
